Father's Day Card

This is my hubby's Father's Day Card (hopefully he doesn't look at my blog any time soon). When I first bought the Tropical Party stamp set I wasn't sure I'd have alot of use for it since it was so "tropical".  But, it's really more versatile than it looks and I've found uses for it everywhere!
Stamp Sets: Tropical Party (118515), All Holidays (114916) Paper: Soft Suede (115318), Soft Suede DSP (115688), Whisper White (100730) Ink: Soft Suede (115657), Rose Red (100063), Old Olive (100079), More Mustard (100076) Accessories/Tools: Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon (109070), Square Punch (103375)

Birthday Card

Today is Alexa's Birthday (my oldest daughter) and I made her a quick birthday card which I thought came out pretty cute. I love the new Island Oasis DSP!
Stamp Sets: Birthday Bliss (115442), Happy Moments (118664) Paper: Tempting Turqouise (102067), Island Oasis DSP (117173), Whisper White (100730) Ink: Melon Mambo (115656) Accessories/Tools: Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon (109070), Square Punch (103375)

Birthday Bliss

I absolutely love the Birthday Bliss stamp set.  I honestly don't remember where I CASED this from or if I even CASED it from someone else.  I think it may have been from a similiar idea from the Catalog.
Stamp Set: Birthday Bliss (115442) Paper: Old Olive (100702), Orchid Opulence (100969), Rich Razzleberry (115316), Whisper White (100730), Cottage Wall DSP (115671) Ink: Rich Razzleberry (115658) Accessories/Tools: Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon (109054), Oval Punch (112082)

Yet another Sympathy Card

I'm not really sure why I'm on such a sympathy card kick, other than the fact that I really like this stamp set.  So, this will be my last sympathy card for a bit.  I CASED the general color scheme from Heather Bhatti on Stampin Connection.
Stamp Set: Close as a Memory (114946) Paper: Rich Razzleberry (115316), Orchid Opulence (100969), Old Olive (100702), Whisper White (100730) Ink: Rich Razzleberry (115658), Old Olive (102277)
I also finished off the inside of the card on this one too.  I know it takes alot more paper, but it looks so nice.
You'll notice on alot of my cards that I am constantly using Rich Razzleberry.  I was a bit obsessed when I first started card making.  I promise to tone it down a bit and start using some new color combos : )

Thinking of You

This is a sweet and simple card.  I CASED it from SCS Here
Stamp Set: Of the Earth (hostess set), Miracle of Spring (retired)  Paper: Very Vanilla (101650), Chocolate Chip (102128), Not Quite Navy (101722)  Ink: Chocolate Chip  Accessories/Tools: Chocolate Chip Ribbon (109065), Paper Trimmer, adhesive

Best Friends Card

This was another card that is in the 09-10 Catalog that a family member ordered.  I changed the ribbon and substituted Crushed Curry for More Mustard, since Crushed Curry is retiring.  I also substituted Soft Suede ink for Chocolate Chip to match the ribbon.  It's a cute, simple card.
Stamp Set: Garden Whimsy (113502)  Paper: Rose Red (102544), Very Vanilla (101650), More Mustard (100946)  Ink: All are Stampin Write Markers- More Mustard (100076), Rose Red (100063), Old Olive (100079), Chocolate Chip (100071) Accessories & Tools: Taffeta Chocolate Chip Ribbon (109065), Bone Folder (102300), The Tearing Edge (102930), Paper Cutter (104152), and adhesive.

Close as a Memory

This is my Close as a Memory sympathy card.
To make this card here is what I used
Stamp Set:Close as a Memory (114946) Paper:Very Vanilla (101650), Always Artichoke (105119), Ruby Red (102030) *retiring*, Not Quite Navy (101722), Confetti Cream (102835) Ink: Chocolate Chip (100908), Always Artichoke (105219), Ruby Red (102259) *retiring*, Not Quite Navy (103008) Accessories & Tools: Mellow Moss Ribbon (109069) *Retiring*, Bone Folder (102300), Paper Cutter (104152), The Tearing Edge (102930), and adhesive

I liked the "finished" look of the inside from samples I had seen of other cards so I added in a layer of Not Quite Navy and Confetti Cream and stamped the sympathy message on the inside.

General Info

Good Morning! I've been working hard at setting up my Stampin Blog and since I'm a bit computer challenged, it's been quite the task.  I've had some orders from my family members for cards that were in the 09-10 Catalog, and I've been filling the orders as fast as I can, as well as getting things ready for the Stampin Party tonight and what was supposed to be the Scrap/Card class on Friday (ended up being cancelled).  So, I'm going to post the first two cards I made for the orders I got.  You'll notice that I changed a few things on both cards, not just to make it more my own, but because I wasn't totally satisfied with the original that was in the catalog.
I will try to keep the blog as updated as I can.  Thanks for looking!
