Craft Show Pictures

Here are a few of the pics I took of my set-up at my first craft show.  There was little to no traffic at this show, which made for terrible sales for all of us crafters, but it was a good experience for my first show.

My mother had a booth and my oldest daughter went from one booth to the next helping us out.  Next year I know to sign up for the more frequented craft shows.  I saved alot of the things I made so that I wouldn't have to go crazy getting everything ready next year. : )) Thanks for looking!

I know Xmas is over, but......

I needed to post some of my xmas creations that I made for a craft show in early December.  I have been so busy with the kids, my pregnancy, and xmas preparations, that I've had no time to post.  So, this will be a double post today to make up for some lost time.

These are a few samples of the money holders I was asked to make.  I thought they would be huge sellers at the craft show, but the gift card holders sold much better.  They were super easy to make, and again, like the gift card holders, I was able to use alot of my scraps!

Tags for Christmas

Here are a few of the tags I've made with my Tags Til' Christmas stamp set.  What a versatile set!!! I'm awaiting my punch that was on backorder, so there are a few more tag designs to come.  Many of the ideas for the tags I saw on either SCS or Stampin Up over the last few weeks.  They were very easy to make, and so cute.  I hope you like them!!

Gift Card Holder

This is my first attempt at a Christmas Gift Card holder.  I found the tutorial here and I thought I'd give it a try.  It was actually super easy! I used a different punch to indent the gift card holder, but other than that, everything was the same.  The one thing I did notice is that, because of it's small size, this is perfect for using up scraps of DSP and regular paper.  I had so many scraps of Jolly Holiday DSP, and I was able to use a bunch with these gift card holders.  I'm going to try to make a few birthday gift card holders too.  I hope you like it!

Gone awhile but getting back into things.....

This is my newest Christmas creation.  I cannot stop talking about how much I love the Jolly Holiday DSP!!!  I actually just ordered another pack because I am almost out of my original pack.  I also just placed an order for one of the 'Tags Til Christmas" Bundles that Stampin Up! has as a special.  I can't wait to start making more cards and tons and tons of tags!!!!
Anyways, I got this idea from Riley Fitzgerald here.  I loved her paper combo and general card layout.  I changed one or two minor things, but kept most of it the same (she did an amazing job!!!).
Thanks for looking and sorry it's been so long since I've posted.

Fun Christmas CASE

This fun Christmas card was CASE'd from Ann Schach here.  I loved the DSP combo on her card and I wanted to try it out for myself.  I'm trying to put together a box of various Christmas cards that have similiar themes, and this one I will definitely add to my collection.  I hope you like it!

Mojo Monday 157

Here is my entry for the Mojo Monday Blog.  I used the Season of Joy stamp set (my only xmas set) with the Jolly Holiday DSP.  I added some embelleshments in the diamond accents and Versamark for the small stamp on the Cherry Cobler.  I hope you like it.

Christmas Gift Box

This is my 3 X 3 Christmas gift box.  The color idea came from Sabriena here.  I loved the usage of the DSP but I changed out the bottom pattern, ribbon, and tag.  The great thing about the box is that it can also be adjusted to fit a standard 5.5 X 4.25 card easily.  I used a huge amount of DSP in a class I just did, so I made the smaller box just for an idea for people for either little Christmas treats, or the idea for a bigger box if they want.  I LOVE the Jolly Holiday DSP!!! It is one of my favorite DSP's so far.  The colors are fabulous and the designs are perfect for anything.  The tag has a cute "diamond" on the center of the snowflake and on the back I stamped "For You".  Thanks Sabriena for the fabulous idea!!!!

Christmas Wreath CASE

This card was made using the Season of Joy stamp set that is my current favorite.  I CASE'd the layout from here.  I thought it was the cutest idea for this set and I was dying to try it out.  With school having started and me feeling very under the weather, it's been so long since I've posted.  So, I took some time today to make a card and then post on my blog. I think the new color, Cherry Cobler is amazing!!! When I first saw it, I was really unsure of it, and was thinking "this is so plain".  But, matched up with Old Olive, this is the perfect Christmas combo!!  I hope you like the card!

Angel Christmas Card

This stamp from Yuletide Montage was a hard one to use.  I went on SCS and there were very few ideas.  This is the card that inspired mine.  I didn't have the background of Christmas, so I decided to use my Baroque  Border instead.  My colors were Whisper White and Not Quite Navy.  I hope you like it!

Yuletide Montage Christmas Card

I've been in the Christmas Card mood lately and I wanted to try this stamp set out.  It's retired, which makes it unavailable for me to use in my stamp classes or parties, but I figured I can still use it for the cards I'm selling.  It took me forever to figure out how to actually make the best of this stamp, and I think it came out pretty good.  I used Always Artichoke, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla.  To get the effects on the border of the picture I used Stampin Pastels and it almost looks like sponging.  I hope you like it!

MOJO Monday 151

Here is the Monday sketch which you can find here.  I brought all of my Stampin stuff to the hospital while Alexa gets her last round of chemo, and decided to give this sketch a try.  Naomi let me borrow her 'Season of Joy' stamp set, so I've been a Xmas Card makin fool!  Haha.  I hope you like it!

Taryn's Card for Grandot

My wonderful In-laws took my two little girls over the past weekend for us so that I could be at the hospital with Alexa while she was getting her chemo.  They took the girls to NH to Canobie Lake Park.  It is a huge amusement/water park geared for all ages.  From what I saw, it is a very family-oriented place, and the girls had a blast.  To thank her Grandot for taking her, Taryn (my 4 year old) wanted to make her a card.  She picked out the paper and helped me with the cutting and some of the stamping.  So, here is a picture of Taryn with the finished product and then a close-up of the card.  Enjoy!

Create With Connie & Mary CCMC110

Here is the sketch for Create with Connie & Mary.
and here is my take on the sketch

I'm not exactly thrilled out how this card turned out, ecspecially since I loved the sketch.  But, I based the card all around the circle of DSP and I don't think I'll do that next time.  I may even try the sketch again, this time having a general theme in mind first.  It's a simple, yet elegant sketch.

Not Quite Navy CASE

This is a CASE from here.  I loved Julie's layout, but I didn't have any of the colors she used on hand.  So, I knew I would switch the colors, but I couldn't decide what combo to go with.  I don't use blue very often, even though it's my favorite color, so I decided to use it instead of a purple combo.  I used Bashful Blue and Not Quite Navy for the ink.  My paper was Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy, and Whisper White.  The stamp sets are Greenhouse Garden and All Holidays.  I figured it was very general and the inside could be any kind of sentiment that the person wanted it to be.  I hope you like it, and a huge thank you to Julie for such a great layout.

Mojo Monday 150

This is my Mojo Monday card.  The only reason I chose the paper and DSP was because the sketch called for brads (or that's how I interpreted it anyways), and the only SU! brads I have are Tempting Turquoise.  So, I made an attempt and am totally not happy with the finished product, but oh well.  I'm submitting it anyways.  Here is the link for the Mojo Monday Blog.
We have a new puppy, so I've been working so hard at training him (plus keeping up with the girls) so I didn't have time to try the sketch again.  I may give it another go and substitute the brads for something else.  I hope you like it!

Birthday Whimsical

My aunt had ordered a birthday card and she requested the color to be turquoise.  I made this card for her, but I'm unsure of it because I think there is just way too much turquoise and nothing of any other color.  So, I made a different card and this one I'll just keep for emergencies.  I used Garden Whimsy, Quick and Cute, and All Holidays.  The paper is Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, and Island Oasis DSP.  My ink was Tempting Turquoise.

Thank You Card

My triplet cousins just graduated from the 8th grade and recieved quite a few graduation gifts.  My aunt asked me to make thank you cards for them to send out.  I absolutely love the Elegant Notes card.  It makes it so easy to decorate the card when the front is already taken care of.  I used Island Oasis DSP behind the cut-out.  My ribbon is Old Olive as is part of the tag.  I also used Very Vanilla for the underside of the card to hide the DSP and for part of the tag.  The ink I used was Rose Red.  I hope you like it!

Mojo Monday 149

So, I have decided to give the sketch challenge a try.  I saw the sketch for Mojo Monday here and got to work.  It was much harder than I expected it to be, but I had a general idea of my color theme so I went from there.  I used Bashful Blue, Soft Suede, Whisper White, and Soft Suede DSP.  The ink is Soft Suede and the stamp sets are Happy Moments and Thank You Kindly.  I hope you like it.

Mom's Birthday Card

This was the card I made from us for my mom.  She loves the summer and the beach so I thought this stamp set would be a perfect theme for her birthday.  I used Soft Suede for my base and Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, and Tempting Turquoise for the mats.  For ink I used Soft Suede, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, and Tempting Turquoise.  My idea was CASE'd (copy and share everything) from Julie Alberda here.  I think she has the cutest cards, ecspecially using this stamp set. Hope you like it!

Melon Mambo Birthday Bliss

This is another card I made for another of my cousin's swim friends.  I love Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo so I figured I'd pair the two together and see what I could come up with.  I used some Razzleberry Lemonade DSP and my Boho Blossoms punch.  Hope you like it.

Elegant Eggplant Birthday

My cousin had asked me to make birthday cards for some of her friends on the swim team.  For this particular card she wanted purple and orange.  I cringed at the color combo but thought I'd try it out before I asked her to pick a different combo.  So, I got out my Elegant Eggplant and my Island Oasis DSP and got busy.  I actually LOVE how it turned out.  What a cute combo!! I think I may actually make a couple more of these to have for some of the craft shows I'm going to be participating in.  Hope you like it!

Mom's Birthday Card

This was a very busy weekend for our family.  I had a couple last minute card orders from my family members for birthdays and graduation so I worked on those and then we had picnics and parties all weekend.  I played around with my photo program on the computer and made a watermark but I don't like how it looks so I decided to just use my personalized stamp as my watermark.  It's actually easier because I can just upload and go.  Easy!
I made this card for my mom to be given from my aunt.  I love this color combo and even though it's retired, I still love the Cottage Wall DSP.  I CASED the card from Wendy Janson here.  I think she did such an amazing job on the card that I wanted to share it with my mom.  I used three different stamp sets for this card......Birthday Bliss, Quick and Cute, and Tropical Party.  I hope you enjoy it!

For You-Tropical Theme

So, everyone I show this card to thinks it's really plain and in need of something else, but I have no idea what.  I CASED the color combo from Jenni Ingerick.  I changed up stamps, embellishments, and the sentiment. I'm so glad I invested in the Boho Blossoms Punch.  It adds such a nice touch. I hope you like it : ))

Garden Whimsical

I saw this layout by Krista Fenton on the Demo website and loved it. I changed the stamp set but kept everything else the same. I used Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Island Oasis DSP, Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, and Daffodil Delight. I must say my Boho Blossoms punch is awesome! I can use it for the little add-ons when it's missing something. Thanks for looking!

Greenhouse Razzleberry

This is a sketch I saw from Dawn Easton on SCS.  I changed the DSP and colors but kept a similiar layout.  I used Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, and Chocolate Chip.  My stamp set is Greenhouse Garden and my ink is Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry.  Enjoy!

Tropical Party For You

This card I CASED from here.  I love Stacey's cards and this, in particular, jumped out at me with her color combos.  Instead of using Bermuda Bay, I used Tempting Turquoise.  The paper is Island Oasis DSP, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, and Soft Suede DSP.  The ink is Tempting Turquoise and Soft Suede.  The stamp set is Tropical Party from the Summer Mini and the sentiment is from All Holidays.  I hope you like it.

Island Oasis Scrap Pages

Last month I had a class for beginning scrapbooking (not really my thing, but I gave it a go anyways).  I had these pics of the little girls printed for some time and I have been wanting to use them.  When I first recieved my Island Oasis DSP I thought the colors went perfect with the pics, so my scrap tutorial was something I could end up keeping.  I haven't gotten around to journaling yet, but I will soon so I can add some more pages with my soon-to-be-retiring stamp set and paper : ((
Hope you enjoy!
